Job DescriptionLutheran Health Physicians is seeking a BE/BC Interventional Cardiologist with Non-Structural focus to join a busy, high volume collaborative cardiology team. Work side by side with quality interventional (6), non-invasive (7), electrophysiology (3), and advanced heart failure (1) cardiologists and cardiac surgeons (3) to provide the highest level of comprehensive cardiac services to the Fort Wayne and surrounding communities. Interventional cardiology service line offerings include high risk PCI, peripheral intervention, EVAR, TAVR, Mitraclip, TMVR, Watchman, CardioMEM, and ECMO . New fellows or experienced physicians welcome!

Scope of Position:
- Coronary and Peripheral Interventions
- 8 Cardiac cath labs and 2 EP labs in network
- STEMI call shared among 7 interventional cardiologists
- Level II TEE preferred;nuclear and advanced cardiac imaging optional
- Specialized clinics include Advanced Heart Failure, Atrial Fibrillation, Lipid Care, Structural Heart, and Vascular Medicine.
- Cardiology Nocturnist and Hospitalist support

Lutheran Hospital is a 396-bed tertiary care facility that opened on Thanksgiving Day in 1904. Lutheran's areas of specialized care include northern Indiana's only heart and kidney transplant programs, an accredited bariatric surgery program, Level II verified adult and pediatric trauma centers, an accredited and commended community hospital cancer care program and a certified primary stroke center. In addition to transplantation, Lutheran's trailblazing history of heart care is evident through its accreditations as a heart failure institute and chest pain center. It has also achieved advanced certification from The Joint Commission for ventricular assist devices and was the first hospital in northern Indiana to perform transcatheter aortic valve replacement. Lutheran Children's Hospital teams with 68 pediatricians from across the region and state who practice in 20 areas of pediatric specialty. This "hospital within a hospital" now includes a separate pediatric emergency department and offers an environment filled with imagination and color throughout. Lutheran Hospital is committed to providing the highest level of expertise and technology locally so patients don't have to travel hours from home to receive the care they deserve.
