Description
Holabird & Root LLC, a 145-year-old legacy architectural design firm in Chicago, is seeking a full-time Marketing Manager. This deadline-oriented position provides a considerable amount of personal responsibility, professional development, and growth. This position is designed for an individual passionate about the design industry, thrives working in a collaborative environment, and possess the ability to learn on the job. The Marketing Manager will directly work with and report to the Managing Partner.
Requirements
Responsibilities
- Search for market-aligned opportunities through the firm’s online subscription portals.
- Collaborate with leadership and staff to produce qualifications submissions, proposals, and additional pursuits on tight deadlines.
- Collaborate with leadership and staff to generate winning presentation materials for shortlist interviews and attend interviews (virtual and in-person), as required.
- Attend project pre-bid meetings, pre-proposal conferences, and site visits.
- Assemble compelling award submissions.
- Maintain contract compliance efforts on all pursuits.
- Coordinate inter-office and out-of-office special event schedule.
- Prepare and maintain internal and external company communications, including firm website, press releases, and social media accounts.
- Update and maintain the firm’s marketing database, including image files, project case studies, resumes, and additional marketing collateral.
- Coordinate professional project photography.
- Coordinate graphic design support and other related duties, as required.
Qualifications
- BA or BS in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related fields.
- Three to five years of marketing experience, A/E/C industry preferred.
- Must be a self-starter and possess the ability to meet multiple deadlines while meeting quality standards and on-time delivery. This position may require overtime to meet deadlines.
- Must possess very strong grammar and writing skills, including proofreading.
- Expert in Microsoft Office and proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud, especially InDesign.
- Highly organized with strong time management skills.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
- Must possess a positive, collaborative attitude, with the ability to work well with leadership, staff, consultants, and others.
