The District
Reardan-Edwall School District encompasses a large geographic area including the towns of Reardan and Edwall. The District includes one elementary school and one secondary school. Our school district has a deep focus on our core values, which serve as a guide for our work together.

Qualifications
Close affiliation with and commitment to Reardan-Edwall School District’s Mission, Vision and Values.
Reputation of and commitment to “All In”, positive, what’s-best-for-students attitude and conduct. Successful passing of the fingerprint process and background check.
Valid State of Washington Teaching certificate with proper endorsements/qualifications to teach secondary math courses.
Good organizational and communication skills.
Exceptional student skills.
Ability and commitment to maintain strict confidentiality.
Ability and commitment to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, students, and the community.
Exhibit initiative, accuracy, creativity, and enthusiasm in performing responsibilities of the job. Flexible and punctual.
Multiple endorsement, preferred.
Interest in coaching and serving as a class/club advisor position, preferred.
Successful experience working with high school and middle school students strongly preferred.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree (minimum).
Valid Washington State Teaching Certificate with the appropriate endorsement to teach in the content area advertised in this posting.
Job Duties
Class instructional responsibilities anticipated to include: intermediate and advanced math classes, primarily Algebra I and II, Geometry.
Demonstrate ability to design and implement effective, relevant, and engaging instruction in math at the secondary level.
Exhibit strong instructional strategies, curriculum adaptation, behavior management skills in promoting positive student behavior, and skills in both formative and summative assessment practices.
Knowledge of Advanced Placement courses, and/or willingness to attend AP institutes and training.
Knowledge of College in the High School classes/credit offerings and/or willingness to attend institutes and trainings to get HS math courses aligned for college credit.
Exhibit strong skills and ability to communicate effectively with students and parents, and willingness to facilitate family involvement and engagement to help students succeed.
Be enthusiastic, open-minded, and flexible in meeting the needs of students, the school, the district, and the community.
Demonstrate the ability to communicate clearly and effectively in both oral and written forms, and collaborate with parents and school staff.
Maintains and submits student records and progress in a timely manner, and willingness to communicate student progress with parents/guardians/caretakers.
Maintains professionalism by being a strong role model for students, by actively participating in professional development activities and demonstrates a commitment to support department and school wide goals and practices.
Fulfill other responsibilities as assigned by the building principal.
Willingness or experience teaching over zoom/google meets in a synchronous classroom remote learning enrolment.

Exposed to a visual display terminal for prolonged periods; dexterity and precision required in the operation of a computer; potentially exposed to ordinary infectious diseases carried by students.
Pay Range
Salary placement based on experience and education. 25/26 $52,833 - $100,298
