Golden West Swim Club located in Huntington Beach, CA was organized in 1983 and has grown to become a very competitive Age Group Swimming Programs in Southern California. Several USA Olympic Trial qualifiers, Senior and Junior National level swimmers have represented Golden West nationally and internationally and all will continue to be reaching for the USA Olympic team.
Our Mission is dedicated to providing outstanding programming on all levels of competitive swimming. Our emphasis is in building champions in the pool and life. We are committed to teaching correct stroke technique as well as teaching life lessons of goal setting, discipline, work ethic, teamwork, integrity, character and sportsmanship. We promote a positive, fun and encouraging atmosphere with a professional coaching staff and dedicated parents. Our Vision is achieved through individualized growth and team unity by providing qualify leadership and instruction. We maintain a safe team environment where every swimmer is encouraged to build friendships, work hard and have fun in the process of their development. We will provide the motivation and discipline necessary to develop self-esteem, resulting in a winning experience. We will strive to recognize the needs and desires of our swimmers, coach and guide them so that they may realize their full potential as athletes and as individuals.
Golden West Swim Club is a 501c3 nonprofit parent governed club that trains at Golden West College's 50 meter pool in Huntington Beach, CA.
We are currently seeking a 2-Age Group Coaches to manage multiple competitive groups. The on deck coaching would include and up to 20-24 hours a week, as well as 1-2 weekend meets per month. This also requires you to be responsible for season, weekly, daily planning, as well as maintaining the Team Unify program.
Requirements
Desired Qualifications Age Group Coaches:
2 years of Coaching experience with a proven record of success at all levels.
Candidate must have current USA Swimming Coach Certifications
Strong administrative, communication and organizational skills with swimmers and parents.
Desire & passion for developing swimmers of all ages
Expertise with technique development and training
Enthusiastic and highly motivated team player
