Vice President, Internal Audit - Global Markets, Finance and Risk

Our client is a premier bank with established presence in the region. It is seeking to hire a Vice President, Internal Audit - Global Markets, Finance and Risk in Malaysia.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for designing and enhancing the audit framework, standards and policies across the group. You will lead the planning and execution of audits, risk assessments and special reviews covering front-to-back processes across Global Markets, Finance and Risk Management functions. The role involves providing independent assessments of operational controls, compliance and adherence to corporate policies and regulatory requirements. You will also leverage data analytics to enhance audit effectiveness and deliver meaningful insights. Key responsibilities include preparing and reviewing audit reports, engaging with senior management on audit issues and liaising with external auditors and regulatory authorities.

Requirements

You have strong academic qualifications and at least 10 years of relevant experience in auditing global markets, treasury, investment banking or risk management with a good understanding of financial products and associated risks. You are analytical, credible, self-driven and able to build strong working relationships with stakeholders across the business. Proficiency in audit analytics and relevant tools is an advantage.
