Description
As Compliance & Governance Specialist, you will work within the Compliance function and support DPO.You will also play a key role in Compliance Monitoring, risk management support, advisory tasks, and cross‑department collaboration.
Your responsibilities include:
Compliance & Monitoring
- Conducting Compliance Monitoring activities according to the annual Compliance Monitoring Plan
- Documenting findings, following up remediation actions, and supporting the continuous improvement of internal controls
- Assisting with external audits and regulatory reviews
Data Protection & Governance
- Supporting the DPO with the execution of the Data Protection control plan
- Performing data protection‑related controls and monitoring activities
- Drafting and updating policies, standards, and procedures related to GDPR/BDSG
- Providing guidance to business teams on data protection topics
Advisory & Stakeholder Interaction
- Acting as a point of contact for regulatory and data protection questions from Operations, Technology, Legal, Procurement, and business teams
- Cooperating with 2nd Line of Defence and Oversight functions
- Supporting efficient processes and strengthening governance frameworks
About You
You are a strong match if you bring:
- 3+ years experience in Compliance, Data Protection, or Regulatory services - ideally in financial services or an audit/consulting environment
- Knowledge of relevant German/EU regulations
- Excellent communication skills and the confidence to work with various stakeholders
- Fluency in German & English
