KYC Maker & Checker (Periodic Screening) - Corporate Banking
Job Summary

Seeking an experienced KYC professional to perform Maker/Checker reviews for periodic KYC screening across Asia Pacific and Middle East corporate banking clients. The role focuses on AML/KYC due diligence, PEP and adverse media screening, regulatory compliance, stakeholder management, and ensuring high-quality client onboarding and periodic reviews.
Key Responsibilities

1. Perform KYC due diligence and periodic reviews as a Maker or Checker for corporate banking clients across APAC and the Middle East.
2. Conduct AML, PEP, sanctions and adverse media screening, escalating complex cases where required.
3. Liaise with Front Office and relevant stakeholders to obtain KYC documentation and resolve outstanding issues.
4. Maintain accurate client static data and KYC records within internal systems.
5. Prepare MIS reports, perform reconciliations, and support regulatory reporting.
6. Participate in system enhancement projects, UAT testing and ad-hoc screening activities.
7. Provide guidance and knowledge sharing to junior team members.

Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree in Banking, Finance or a related discipline.
2. Experience in KYC/CDD within Corporate or Investment Banking.
3. Good understanding of AML/CFT regulations and KYC documentation requirements.
4. Familiarity with APAC regulatory frameworks, including MAS, HKMA, CBRC, PBOC and FSC.
5. Proficient in English and Mandarin, with the ability to read Simplified and Traditional Chinese.
6. Strong communication, stakeholder management and analytical skills.
7. Detail-oriented, organised, able to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
8. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel is an advantage
